General data processing

Purposes of processing

The processing of your personal data is essential for providing you with customised insurance advice. It is not possible to conclude and implement an insurance contract without processing your data.

Your data will only ever be used for the purpose specified, for example, at the time of collection, for which you have given your consent, which is evident from the circumstances or which is provided for by law.

Pantaenius processes personal data insofar as this is necessary for business processes such as acquisition, application support, risk assessment of applications, protection against insurance fraud, management of the customer relationship, provision of services, needs-based advice and support, processing of offers and contracts, as well as claims and benefits, invoicing, answering questions and concerns, and the evaluation, improvement and new development of products, services and services. Your personal data will only be transferred to data processors abroad if they are subject to appropriate data protection laws. If data is transferred to a country without adequate data protection, Pantaenius ensures adequate protection through the use of sufficient contractual guarantees or relies on the exception of consent, contract processing or the establishment, exercise and enforcement of legal claims. Contractual safeguards are based on standard data protection clauses adopted by a supervisory authority.

Data may also be passed on for the purpose of detecting or preventing insurance fraud, in particular to insurers in Switzerland and abroad and to law enforcement authorities.

Storage period

Pantaenius processes personal data for as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes. We process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued with the processing, i.e. for example for the duration of the entire business relationship (from the initiation, processing to the termination of a contract) and beyond that in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations. It is possible that personal data may be stored for the period during which claims can be asserted against our company or the insurance companies involved and insofar as we are otherwise legally obliged to do so or legitimate business interests require this (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes). Please note that communication by e-mail is generally not encrypted. There is a possibility that data may be lost or intercepted and/or manipulated by third parties. Data processing in connection with Pantaenius websites

You can visit the Pantaenius website anonymously without having to provide any personal details. To do this, you must deactivate the tracking function. In any case, your IP address will only be processed in pseudonymised form.
